Azka & Azlaan are finally married but their journey together is far from over. Do their circumstances justify a marriage contract? Is it okay to agree on a divorce even before you sign your Nikah nama? Azka’s clarity in this matter is very laudable as she upholds the sanctity of a marriage above all else: “My Allah knows my intentions, He will protect me, not this contract”.

Professor Rehman’s words “Zindagi mein …ishq ko khuda ki raza ke liye chhorna parta hai aur … jis se woh nafrat karta hai, rab ki raza ki khaatir us se muhabbat karni parhti hai” rings true for both Azlaan & Azka. Infact, it is the one factor that is common between their otherwise diverse backgrounds.
Azlaan’s insensitive behaviour towards Azka is showing us he has a long way to go and we wonder when the transformation will ever take place.
Shana Lives On
It is heartening to see Shanaya again as she attempts to guide & reassure both Azka & Azlaan who are miserably stuck in an unwanted relationship. A word of appreciation for showing Azka praying in the morning, giving us nostalgic shades of Shanaya – a very subtle play on our senses.
We want to give a shout out to Azlaan’s mom who was sensitive enough to switch her bedroom for Azka and to lovingly request her not to give up on her son. While we understand her sentiments, it is hard to excuse Azlaan for his harsh behaviour towards Azka, even after she is living in his home.
Unfortunately, the only time he spoke to her gently was when he needed her to do something for him – to keep the pretense going before his mother.
We are loving Yumna Zaidi’s subtle change in appearance. She looked stunning in her Shaadi look & even after. The slight changes in her appearance mirrored her transition & her onward journey. We are definitely rooting for her.
