Shamsher is now a new person. We wish we had not seen an extremely toxic and obsessive Shamsher earlier. We would have enjoyed this new Shamsher and his journey of discovering the flavour of cooked sabzi, to job seeking and showing responsibility. As a drama viewer who wants to enjoy the growing relationship between Mehek and Shamsher, this drastic changeover is very frustrating, since we can’t let go of the old Shamsher.
Shamsher is repenting now and one can clearly see him trying to make amends. Is this enough? Does he deserve a second chance?
Should people like Shamsher, who single-mindedly went ahead to get what they wanted, be given a 2nd chance? Or are we creating a dreamy illusion that will misguide many people presently living in toxic relationships?
Appreciation for the drama for showing the journey Nida is undergoing. The fact that she has not immediately accepted Ahsan and her gradual, relatable thought process makes her more humane for audiences.
