1 – Wednesday, No Blinking!
Jenna revealed in a recent Teen Vogue interview that after finishing a full take without blinking, Tim Burton asked her if she could do it for the entire series. The two already agreed that Jenna would adopt the “Kubrick gaze” for the role, but having Jenna maintain her character while not blinking, she said, really tied everything together.
2 – Jenna Ortega Cheorographed The Viral Dance Herself
Anyone who has watched the series or used TikTok will immediately recognize the scene we’re referring to. Jenna says that she learned how to dance in goth clubs in the 1980s and studied Young Wednesday from a 1960s Addams Family sitcom. Although Ortega dazzled the audience during her cello parts, she revealed in her interview with Wired that she had never played the instrument before. Instead, around two months prior to the start of filming, Ortega picked up the cello and started lessons.
