“The Bank looks after your money more than your dignity.”
Money Back Guarantee seems to be a party on the sets. From Fawad Khan’s moustached makeover to Wasim & Shaniera Akram’s onscreen cinematic debut, the Money Back Guarantee trailer is promising loads of action, humour, ghunda power and a star cast that runs both wide and deep. From Mirza Gauhar Rasheed to Mani, Javed Sheikh to Fawad Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar & Ayesha Omar, the characters aim to entertain and it seems like the makers have a very clear objective – deliver a family cinematic experience come Eid ul Fitr.
MBG is something different from typical Pakistani cinema, giving us a little bit of Money Heist vibes. From the monumental bank building to the signature troupe of police cars, the intimidating vault, big money, big Heist feels are written all over the project.
MBG seeks to give double maza – action, comedy and also, layered political innuendos that probably make it relevant to the Pakistani awam.
Apparent Story
The trailer definitely has our attention. Just one reservation, at times, it is said that the trailer is more promising than the movie. But with seasoned names behind the project, we’re hoping the movie comes through as a full on entertainer in a country that needs just that – a good laugh, some thrills & loads of action packed in a blockbuster – can they do it?
The cinematography, picturization, lights and camera work are different from what we typically see, adding to the tone and feel of the film. While the trailer doesn’t give away too much or too less, it keeps us guessing and wanting more.
