Fari, Karayana and Liza are our new favorite partners in crime In 22 Qadam! Revisit how they selected their new team members and what we appreciated..

22 Qadam continues to enthral and impress. Junaid AKA Wahaj becomes the “Super Glue” that brings the girls together to support them, urge them to play as a team while also taking the lead in motivating them. But hold on, this episode was not just about him…
Liza and Fari have finally taken up Junaid’s recommendation of starting a girl’s cricket team and they’ve called a truce, befriending each other on this journey. Read on as we recap Liza, Karyana and Fari moments embarking on an expedition, to convince their potential team members. Also can we talk about all the shenanigans these three are upto? Becoming partners in crime? Giving us such chick flick vibes.
The Recruitment Drive
First, Team Fari scored in double figures as they recruited the two sisters, Haleema and Hajra! They cleverly got their brother to not object, getting him to agree under the guise of free courses in education, cooking and house management. Karyana braving the hurdles with her sharp tactics deserved a medal for this one! Next on, the team recruited Muni or Munira from school, getting her out of class for an “emergency” which ended up in a quick yes from Muni’s side. Shortly, Liza sways in, scoring a hattrick for the team with 3 more members at one go!
Incredibly Brilliant To See Empowering Men
The story about their 7th team mate, was quite special. Zohra hails from a pathan background and her husband encouraged her to follow her dream and play cricket. 22 Qadam just set a great example of an empowering male in a young woman’s life in our society. Her husband despite being from a conventional background is breaking stereotypes, being a progressive thinking man propelling his wife and her passions to achieve, telling her not to give up on her dreams and that he won’t allow it. When she worries about their daughter, he assures her that he will take care of her.
Save the best for last – her comes Sammy! The way Sammy’s father comforted her with a snow cone and encouraged her to let go of her anger and continue to play with Fari was so very special. Thank you 22 Qadam for showing us such joyous, forward thinking and emotionally sensitive fathers! Sammy, whose real story unveils before Fari and Company – being the daughter of the gardener and not the owner, depicting an another integral lesson that the cricket team it takes all sorts to make up a cricket team! The right people with the right skill set and passion just need to come together at the tight time and – you’ve got a team!
Will Amo Be The Missing Piece To The Puzzle?
The final piece of the puzzle in the player count – will it be Amo? Fari’s sister? But will she agree?
Will Amo face their mother’s wrath? Will all hell break loose? Is it Amo’s final chance to live out her freedom? All these questions swirl in our minds as we wonder if Amo will ever be able to go back to secretly climbing walls and playing matches… Also, most can agree how Fari and Amo’s emotions were quite relatable for all the sisters who faced separations.
