The past mega Indian drama celebrates 12 Years of ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’. Most of us know the Indian actor Barun Sobti as Arnav Singh Raizada in hit Indian drama, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? He has stuck in audiences hearts as the mysterious, hard to understand, dark, angry young man. The onscreen chemistry with Sanaya Irani made both the most favorite couple back in 2011. Sobti’s first time on the screen made him an instant hit.
The Love For ASR
The story revolved around a Delhi-based business tycoon, ASR and a middle class girl from Lucknow, Khushi (Sanaya Irani). Arnav was dark/serious, proper, low on patience and initially irked by Khushi’s happy go lucky and funny personality but ends up falling in love with her. There was an air of mystery that shrouded him, he had a tough not be mistaken exterior but actually tender from inside. His rough moments showed how he was actually fragile, the pain he would hide under the guise of his indifference and hatred. Barun played the role seamlessly, his expressions and acting skills captured the entirety of Arnav Singh Raizada’s character. He played the character with such dedication that even after 12 years audiences feel like revisiting the drama.
Barun’s character ASR made girls’ hearts skip a beat with his indifferent attitude making them weak in the knees. The scenes of confrontation between the two leads created palpable chemistry. Belonging from very different backgrounds, Arnav and Khushi were two pieces of puzzles and soulmates who fit perfectly well with each other and in each other’s lives. 1. Badtameez Dil
Starring Indian actor Barun Sobti and actress Ridhi Dogra. A series about a pyar mai pagal larki aur pyar mai practical larka! Set in London, presenting the journey of a girl who is a believer in old-school romance and a guy who on the other hand believes in modern day love. Barun’s character’s idea of love is not the ordinary and perhaps a little twisted. A story of opposites attracting! Badtameez Dil will be releasing on June 9 on Amazon miniTV
2. Asur 2
Season 2 of Asur stars Indian actors Barun Sobti, Arshad Warsi and Ridhi Dogra. The crime thriller series has already garnered quite some praise for its intense attention grabbing story line and powerful performances. A psychological thriller that is said to be much more exciting than its first season which, point to be noted, was quite successful. In the first season, Barun played a forensic office (Nikhil Nair) alongside Arshad Warsi (Dhananjay Rajpoot). Continuing the fight between the good and the bad, Asur 2 might be more successful than the first.
3. Kohrra
Starring Barun Sobti, Kohrra is an investigative drama coming soon on Netflix. The show will be a story about hiding a lot of secrets, exploring dysfunctional family drama, dark love and relationships through a crime investigation. An NRI murdered just his week before a wedding in the countryside of Punjab, Barun seems to be on a thriller/mystery binge!
