Jhoom- The story of an emotional, angry Aryaan and calm, serene Dr. Mariam. Though cliched, the story still catches our attention. Both Mariam and Aryaan feel alone in this world, and maybe, other than the opposites attract factor, this feeling will also bring them closer.

We appreciate the drama establishing at the outset that Aryaan has anger management issues, so this trait is not portrayed as heroic. It is interesting to note that while as audiences, although we root for Aryaan in saving Tina, we do not appreciate him losing his temper with the hospital staff. What about you guys?
The night shooting scene was shot brilliantly. It kept viewers engaged and curious to know what happens next and caught one off guard when Tina was shot.
Aryaan is not your typical, idealistic hero. He is an interesting combination of some good and some questionable traits. He is loyal and raises his voice for justice. But his anger makes him pay a price in many places and often compromises on his sensibilities. But he is also learning, as is shown in how he made another enraged family member calm down the next day at the hospital.
Dr. Mariam carries a calm aura about her but with a silent kind of sadness too. She refuses to bow down to Aryaan’s anger and instead of responding with the same anger, she responds with a firmness that silences Aryaan.
The two already seem interested in each other when they meet at Tina and Sam’s engagement party. Let’s see how the love story unfolds, especially when Aryaan discovers that Mariam is the sister of the guy who shot Tina.
The drama, on many instances, gives the feel of watching a film, with larger-than-life scenes and refreshingly, also offered us many outdoor scenes.
The conversation between Dr. Mariam and Professor Tauqir, Aryaan’s father, had so many life lessons in it. The creators employed it very intelligently to offer us a glimpse into the backgrounds of the two families plus the issues that can be expected to surface and perhaps, serve as pressure points, with regard to Aryaan’s personality.
It is a project of 7th Sky Entertainment, written byHashim Nadeem, directed by Ali Faizan and produced by Abdullah Kadwani & Asad Qureshi. Jhoom air4s on Geo ENtertainment every Friday & Saturday.
