1. Why Doesn’t Sajal Like Giving Interviews?
Sajal expressed that she doesn’t feel she has enough to share about her journey with the world and believes there’s more she can do to achieve this goal.
“Yeah I am an actor but I am also a normal person. I am also searching for myself, I also want to know who I am. I feel that even when I am acting or doing any project I just feel there is so much more to be better”

2. Is Sajal’s Last Name Spelt With An ‘I’ Or A ‘Y’?
Sajal is actually Ali with “I”! How come? You ask. Well, it’s because some fake accounts were trying to impersonate her on social media which led her to spell her last name with a ‘y.’ And voila, the rest is history!
3. Dancing On The Sets Of ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’
Sajal recounted her experience on set with the dance scene. With a glint in her eye, she revealed how she had to summon her inner wildness and let loose on the dance floor to bring the song “Mahi Sona” to life. And as if that weren’t enough of a challenge, she had to do it all while weighed down by a heavy costume! But the pièce de résistance? Making none other than the illustrious Emma Thompson bust a move in desi style! We eagerly await the chance to witness this spectacular performance on the big screen.
“The best part of the song was that I had to make Emma dance to our beats. So she was like wearing Pakistani shalwar kameez and she is just doing all that bhangra and all those steps, she had to copy me. Overall the experience was amazing!”

4. Umrao Jaan
Sajal Ali has been cast as the lead in the upcoming rendition of Umrao Jaan. But wait, there’s more! She revealed that she will be learning the intricate and graceful art of Kathak, in order to bring authenticity to her portrayal of Umrao Jaan.
5. Sajal On Working With Sridevi
Sajal expressed how awestruck she was while working with Sridevi on the set of MOM and expressed her adoration for the costar.
“I think aik achay actor ki nishani yeh hai kay uska acha insaan hona buhat zaroori hai. Hum kabhi kabhi intimidate hojatay hein. But the first thing a good person and an actor would do is to make the other person comfortable. She was that kind of actor. Buhat empathy and buhat kindness thi towards me. She was acting like a mother to me although she was just a costar but just the fact that she actually cared how I am looking and how I can look better. Us baat nay mera dil lelia tha.”

6. What Kind Of Characters Does Sajal Not Enjoy Playing?
She shared that she hated playing those characters that showed women as weak people.
