Did Kim just make the situation worse by telling Dada Jaan everything about Suraiya? Will Dawood actually do something for Suraiya? Can anyone be more confused than Kim?

On one side Kim seems to be making it loud and clear that she despises all local traditions and what is happening in the family, plus she will not stay here long, but then on the other hand, she is making an omelet, responding to Dawood’s unabashed advances at the breakfast table and serving tea to everyone? Can someone please ask her to sit down, and sort out things in her mind?
Dawood just like us is amused when Kim asks him about what he likes in his omelet.
Kim is quick to speak her mind to Dada and tell him he must occupy himself with constructive activity rather than deciding who his grandchildren should marry (and in effect, telling him off for interfering and also, usurping their basic rights). Do you agree that someone in the household had to show him the mirror or is she being too blunt with him?
Yunhi portrays the sad reality that the basic right to education is granted to girls as if it is a huge favor to them. Dada’s further comments to Suraiya: “How can you even think of saying no to the proposal, even if you don’t like Hamid?”, are just mind-boggling. How is a girl’s consent or what she wants to be irrelevant?
Kim’s shock at Suraiya’s devious rishta planning (where no one would know in her family that she is getting married to a person she likes) was well placed. We are so used to watching this behind-the-scenes planning in Pakistani dramas, and perhaps, real life too, where the couple in love have to resort to covert means to ensure they have a happily ever after – an unfortunate reality of the society we live in.
Daniyal is an even bigger disappointment. He is not only materialistic but also an illogical jazbati brother we don’t want to see.
What are your thoughts on Yunhi? Let us know in the comments!
