Whether it is Sakina & Moosa in Raqs e Bismil or Ameera in Raqeeb Se – These stars are nailing the week and how!
Another week and another set of actors who dazzled us this week with their performances! Here are the list of 5 actors who impressed us!
1. Iqra Aziz as Mahi and Ameera
It is a treat to watch her as the flirtatious, man moji Ameera & the Farhad sey bhaagti huwee, thora pareshan, thori guilty Mahi. That library scene with Farhad just won us. Kabhi Mahi toh Kabhi Ameera, we can’t get enough of you Iqra!
Your perplexed appearance in Khuda Aur Mohabbat makes us empathize with the young girl, troubled, guilty, and yet, standing proud & confident – telling off a bhoola bhatka love-enamoured young Farhad that she’s not meant for him. The delivery was on point Iqra – so natural was the flow of dialogues, the pitch-perfect tone and emotion – we are all praise!

Ameera, aapke baare mein jitna kahen kum hoga. You tempt fate, your haazir jawaabi, your complete and unwavering belief in yourself to make it happen, we are all in love with this unpredictable character and her amusing (and layered) interactions with the entire household.
2. Momin Saqib as Issa in Raqs-e-Bismil
Issa’s anger & pain on discovering the truth about Sakina & then his tears before Moosa – Momin Saqib’s portrayal of Issa, made us root for him & feel for his helplessness.
The character has grown upon us gradually as Issa occupies a more significant place in the story line – Issa, the quiet, obedient younger brother and son, the love-lorn youth in love with Sakina, transformed into the determined young man who uncovered Sakina’s secret, let loose his wrath on a woman who scorned him, and then, crept back into his den when Moosa asked him to let things go. The events played out melodramatically, and Issa played up to each and every nuance with intense feeling and expression! We were rooting for you Issa – well played Momin Saqib!

3. Anoushay Abbasi as Sakina
No emotional outburst, no screaming, she just spoke with her eyes & her expressions. Anoushay as Sakina, suffering guilt & desperately wanting forgiveness, her trust in Moosa that he will stay behind her – there was nothing stopping her.
Anoushay carried the role from impudent, wreck-less and rebellious young girl to repentant young woman – we experienced her journey with great trepidation – scared as she planned her exit with Kamran and relieved when Moosa saved her. Anoushay travelled Sakina’s journey and made it all the more believable for us.

Will she be able to win back Issa? That is the question and we wait for episode next. Looking forward to some romantic interplay with Issa and Sakina!
4. Imran Ashraf as Moosa
Imran jee kiya kiya bolian… jub aap ney Issa ko gallay lugaya, jub khud ko roka Zohra ka iqrar sunnay per.. aap ney to her minute per dil jeet liya

To hear the words we thought we’d never hear from the beloved lips – Imran Ashraf nailed the bewilderment in his expressions, followed by pure love and thankfulness – almost as if a miracle had occurred on earth. Great performance there and we’re rooting for Moosa to make it back into his family with Zohra by his side!
The question is of course, how he’ll convince his father to accept him and Zohra – lots left in the story folks!
5. Rabia Butt
Wah wah and wah… kiya jawab diya hai Faizullah ko – Nargis is back & we are just loving it! Rabia jee her haftay apnay hi aap sey behter perform kertee hain.

Rabia has given us a gold character in Nargis – her honesty, her principled stance in life and her ability to see through the hypocrisies that make up our daily life make her a tragic hero(ine) we hope, with a not so tragic ending! Keep on doing what your’re doing Rabia – coz you’re good at it!
With this we come to the end of this week’s list. We hope that the actor’s continue to amaze us the same way for the next week as well!
