Eid is here, and once again GEO brings us entertaining telefilms to watch while we gorge ourselves on all the delicious Eid delicacies. Telefilms by GEO Entertainment always get us excited because they are humorous, have a light-hearted storyline and are perfect for heightening that Eid spirit. Moreover, they stress the significance of spending time with your family and having fun while doing it!

Telefilm Gems By GEO

Previously, GEO has given us many telefilms, including ‘Dil Tera Hogaya‘ starring Zara Noor Abbas and Feroz Khan. It tells us the story of Anas and Roma – a classic enemies to lovers storyline where they go from conspiring against each other to developing a fondness and trying to eliminate the animosity between their families. Other notable telefilms from GEO include ‘Filmy Siyappa’ and ‘Teri Meri Kahani’ which were equally entertaining.

This Eid-ul-Azha Geo is once again bringing us two telefilms by 7th Sky Entertainment that we have our eyes set on. Produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, let’s see what they have to offer:

1. Romantic Razia

Romantic Razia will be airing on the first day of Eid at 9 pm (Pakistan time). Directed by Mazhar Moin and written by Hassaan Imam, this special Eid telefilm is an interesting mix of romance, humour, and wit. We will be seeing Azfar Rehman and Hina Altaf in two exciting and new roles as Rameez and Razia respectively. Other cast members include Hina Dilpazeer, Samina Ahmed, Salma Hassan, Madiha Rizvi, Zohreh Amir, Hira Sheikh, Raza Zaidi, Mohammad Hamid, and Hassan Malik.

Razia is an attractive, innocent young girl who is fond of daydreaming. Among many of her small and insignificant wishes is her dream of visiting Swat for her honeymoon. In the past, many of her marriage proposals have been rejected due to her immature and naive nature.

Here swoops in Rameez, a young and handsome man whose family is in search of a perfect life partner for him. As Rameez and Razia’s paths cross and they share a fated bittersweet moment, problems begin to resurface.

Will Razia and Rameez be able to clear their misunderstandings? Will Razia’s dream of visiting the Northern areas for her honeymoon ever be fulfilled? Will anyone from their families make an effort to reunite Razia and Rameez? Well, we have to wait for Eid Day 1 to find out!

2. Daadi Ka Daamad

Geo is known for stressing the pivotal role families play in our day to day lives. Therefore, it is giving us, yet again, a telefilm this Eid which will portray the importance of strong familial ties and relationships – the way it influences life-changing decisions and how significant it is to respect your elders.

Written by Samira Fazal and directed by Saima Waseem, ‘Daadi Ka Daamad’ seems just like the perfect jovial entertainment that we need on this Eid to unwind. The telefilm will air on Eid day 2 at 9 pm (Pakistani time)- the seemingly right time to lay back and unwind with your family after a tiring day. Affan Waheed and Madiha Imam star as the main leads alongside Hina Bayat, Farhan Ali Agha, Manzoor Qureshi, Bee Gul, Saife Hassan, Humera Bano, Sidra Niazi, Agha Talal.

The telefilm narrates a dramatic and emotional tale of a young man whose journey to fulfil his grandmother’s last wish soon transforms into finding a perfect life partner for himself.

The story unfolds as Zaviyar (Affan Waheed) decides to return back to Pakistan, after knowing about his grandmother’s ailment. His mother gets busy finding marriage proposals for him. Soon after Zaviyar’s arrival, his grandmother passes away and as her last wish, asks Zaviyar to become her son in law. Baffled by his grandmother’s dying request, Zaviyar learns about his grandmother’s long lost brother and makes an effort to reunite both the families.

As the two families reunite, Zaviyar falls in love with his cousin Anaya and chooses to fulfil his grandmother’s last wish. However, Anaya is someone who lives her life on her own terms and fails to understand Zaviyar’s will to fulfil his grandmother’s last wish. From then on Anaya deliberately makes several attempts to pressurize Zaviyar to back off however Zaviyar refuses to do so.

Will Zaviyar give up easily on Anaya or will he hold his ground and fulfil his grandmother’s last wish? Will Zaviyar and Anaya’s family bridge the gap between the two? We can’t wait to find out!

So, have these telefilms added to your Eid excitement? We are certain that they did! Don’t forget to tune in to GEO to catch up on these two exciting telefilms.
