Bored and wondering what show you should binge watch on Netflix this weekend? Don’t worry we’ve got your back, here are three of our all time favourite shows that you need to watch ASAP! We’re hooked and we know you will be too!

1. Derry Girls

Derry Girls on Netflix is a critically acclaimed comedy set in 1990s Northern Ireland. The two seasons of the sitcom spans the lives of Catholic teenagers Erin, her cousin Orla and their friends Clare, Michelle and James (who is English, poor lad). As viewers, we get to experience their oftentimes hillarous and reckless antics amidst rising sectarian tensions and violence in the city of Derry. Though, the show depicts important historical and political events, they are always in the background, added as an afterthought and muted by the charcters’ exuberant thirst for life. The show is a realistic portrayal of friendship, war and religious divide – all accompanied with witty pounchlines, phenomenal acting and a bangin’ 90s playlist paired with nostaligic fashion choices! With Season Three set to be filmed later this year, now is the perfect time to catch up on this feel-good show!
2. Good Girls

This show is a Netflix gem! It’s a wonder most people don’t know about this crime, comedy-drama yet! With Season Four recently released and marking the end of this complex show, now is the perfect time to catch up on the past seasons. Good Girls chronicles the lives of three unassuming sub-urban moms who are just trying to make life work for them and their families. They don’t have an easy life but they are committed to being there for their children. However, when push comes to shove they make some questionable choices which lands them smack dab in the middle of harm’s way. Will their efforts to escape financial ruin and gain independence estrange them from their families or will it open up new avenues for growth? You’ll have to watch the show to find out!
3. Dead To Me

Dead To Me is one of Netflix’s most hyped dark comedies. The show stars Christina Applegate as Jen, a a hot headed, grieving widow who’s just lost her husband in a hit and run, and her new friend Judy, played by Linda Cardellini who is a cheery, girl-next-door type trying to show her the brighter side of life. However, this friendship formed out of happenstance has a nefarious underbelly that will take you by surprise! A gripping fast-paced plot, well-timed plot twists and a talented cast are what makes Daed To Me a must-watch on our list!
