Actors Who Impressed this week, guess who made it to our list this week! Are you ready?

Let’s begin!
1. Urwa Hocane as Laila in Parizaad

Urwa’s portrayal of Laila as she’s caught by Behroze, and her desperate attempt to get out of the situation by accusing Parizaad was noteworthy. The change in expressions from being totally relaxed to totally stressed, & then innocent – Laila was admirable.
2. Ahmed Ali Akbar as Parizaad

This week Ali won our praise again as he gave a powerfully impressive performance of shock & disbelief at Laila’s betrayal, his inner goodness not allowing him to give her away. The over-grown beard, the stress from a harrowing experience, & then his confusion on being left alive, was well reflected in his character portrayal.
3. Sami Khan as Sannaan in Mohabbat Daagh Ki Soorat

His inner complexities & insecurities manifesting in rage & then crying from desperation & helplessness was impressive & mention-worthy. It is good to see Sami Khan playing an impactful role.
4. Ahsan Khan as Murad in Qissa Meherbano Ka

It is a pleasure to watch Ahsan Khan as Murad, he is evil yet mysterious. We want him to be good to Mehru but then he gives us these sinister signals that tell you he can never be a good guy.
Ahsan Khan aptly portrays the wickedness of Murad in a ‘not over the top’ manner.
5. Ayeza Khan as Geeti in Laapata

Geeti makes it hard for you to love her or hate her for too long. And that’s the magic of Ayeza’s performance. Just like Geeti’s emotional swings, she takes the viewer through a journey of mixed emotions, kabhi she will make you smile, kabhi detest her & kabhi, you will just feel for her.
6. Sarah Khan as Falak in Laapata

Sarah Khan is performing Falak with a finesse & grace that shines through to overcome the horror, danger & confusion of her situation. This us why, you not only relate to her, but also feel for her, because you are not shown a perpetually sobbing Falak behind bars.
7. Ali Rehman as Shams in Laapata

It is difficult to think of Ali as Ali now, that’s how well he has performed Shams. He has played him with a natural flare, without any dramatics. He is totally relatable & must be appreciated.
8. Asim Mehmood as Salar in Rang Mahal

Asim’s portrayal of Salar, the soft, supporting & loving guy, won us. He not only made us feel for Salar but also never compromised Salar’s dignity. It is a great achievement to make audiences feel your pain but not think of you as a bechara.
We hope these actors impressed you as much as they impressed us! Let’s see who’ll make it to the best actors list next week! We’re waiting (impatiently)!
