Are you a Sehar Khan fan? If yes, then let’s get to know her more!

Sehar Khan is a new emerging star in the Pakistani drama industry. In a very short period of time, she has captured the screen professionally and proved herself as a good actor. We can all agree that her performance was admirable in Rang Mahal as Mahaparah & in Mushk as Roshni! Therefore, let’s find out how she started her career and how her experiences helped her become a better actor!
1) Sehar’s First Audition Of Sanwari For Shaama & Interaction With Director Kamran Akbar!

Sehar says she skipped college to go Hum TV’s office with no hopes of getting selected. She met the director Kamran Akbar who asked her about her previous acting experience. She very truthfully replied “nothing”, to which Kamran answered, “if you haven’t acted before, how will you act now?” Sehar very confidently replied, “none of the other actors had worked before as well.” We agree! You have to start somewhere, right?
“At Hum Tv’s office there was this woman Rubab who complimented me and compared me to Sajal. She also described me as chotay packet mein bara dhamaka.”

Moreover, she states that Kamran told her to say a few dialogues to see if she could act or not. So, she replied, “I could do the ones I just did with Rubab.” But, Kamran firmly responded that “this is a soap and you won’t get time to rehearse things because every day you have to do scenes spontaneously.” She says she felt bad but instantly memorized the dialogue. She then gave her audience. Kamran told her that he will let Rubab know. She went on to explain that she met Javed Bhai and signed the contract. But later it hit her that she is yet to convince her parents about her selection.
2) Sehar Talks About Giving 8 Re-takes On The First Day Of Shooting Naqab Zan!

It was Sehar’s first day of the shoot, and she was doing her first scene with Saboor Aly. She says that Saboor got done with her dialogues in one take. Then the camera pointed at her, and as she delivered her dialogues, Adeel (the director) interrupted and told her to do it again. This continued for four retakes straight. She states that she thought just like Kamran Akbar, Adeel Siddiqui might not be happy to have her among the big star-cast. Nevertheless, she asked Adeel if there was an issue and he asked me to do it another four times. So, she did her first scene of Naqaab Zan after eight retakes.
While I was crying, Adeel came to me and said, that it’s you who will come on screen, and if you look good on screen, it will be your achievement not mine. Further, Adeel said I am not your enemy and it’s my first project as well, so I want all of my actors to look professional. Adeel said he doesn’t want people to say that Saboor and Ali did a great job but this new actor wasn’t so great because she was a soap actor before.

Sehar Khan told us that even in the second scene, everyone else got done within one take, but she was asked to do it several times. She says at that time, she felt so bad that she started crying. Moreover, she tells us that at that time, she was about to dial a call to Mahesh, but then Adeel came in and politely asked her to stop crying. Adeel said, “it’s you who will appear on the screen and not me, and I want you to look as good as your co-actors for people to understand your potential as a new actor.”
3) Sehar Says She Became Her Own Biggest Critic After Watching Her Performance In Sanwari!

Sehar narrates that after doing Sanwari, she was confident that she now knows everything about acting. But she later realized that that’s not entirely true. She further explains that she realized that she is yet to prove herself as an actor. When Sanwari was aired, she decided to watch it with her friends rather than family. She explains that ‘we all were sitting and watching, and all of a sudden, I saw my acting and realized how bad I did.’ She further states “before my friends could make fun of me, I admitted on my own that I was not at all good.”
Acting is like a cricket game, you should know when you are suppose to hit a four. So, I have learned how to play this game now.

Sehar Khan further explains that despite all her hard work, the feedback she got was not that great. She says that she did not like her performance in Sanwari and feels that a good actor must realize where they went wrong.
4). Sehar Shares About Getting Hurt Physically On The Sets Of Mushk!

Sehar states that she got injured a lot while doing scenes in Mushk. She says that she is a strong girl and doesn’t let emotions get to her, and no matter how big the wound is, she gets up and acts fine. However, people tell her not to be too realistic while performing because it might cause trouble later. But she says that she gets too excited about her scenes and forgets about everything else.
I am very strong person and even tough I fell I get up easily.

Sehar Khan told us about the time her thumb got stuck in a car’s door while doing a scene with Imran Ashraf. She says her entire thumb was bleeding and everyone on set tried treating it and even offered to pack up the shoot. However, she insisted on carrying on with the scene and Ahsan (Mushk’s) director still remembers this instance vividly and still praises her for her determination to carry on with the scene despite being hurt.
