1. Yumna Zaidi as Azka in Ishq-e-Laa
Yumna delivers a brilliant performance that makes you feel Azka’s pain & then her suppressed anger at being pushed into a corner – such a realistic & convincing portrayal.
2. Sajal Aly as Shanaya in Ishq-e-Laa
Wah wah Sajal jee.. aap kiya muskaraeen, hum sub muskaraye! Loving how Sajal is making Shanaya so endearing with light-hearted moments & cute expressions.
3. Syra Yousaf as Arzoo in Sinf-e-Aahan
We saw Syra back on screen & realised what we’d been missing. Her subtle, yet solid portrayal of Arzoo was endearing & instantly made us feel for her.
4. Zainab Qayyum as Shagufta in HKKST
ZQ’s portrayal of a mother completely losing it & dealing with her own guilt deserves mention & appreciation – she has made us think deeply on whether she is really the one to blame or not.
5. Hadiqa Kiani as Mehroo in Dobara
Hadiqa jee you are awesome the way you show various traits & emotions of Mehroo, as she is trying to re-live her bachpan & face the harsh reality of society around us. You have made us feel for her, not judge her.
6. Urwa Hocane as Mehr in Amanat
The transformation in Mehr – from feeling sad, towards accepting the new relationship & Zaraar as her husband – was depicted beautifully by Urwa & she took us through that journey so that, when she finally made the realization, we were with her & happy for her.
7. Momal Sheikh as Ashi in Dil-e-Momin
Momal is doing a great job showing the soft yet strong & clear headed Ashi, making us respect & root for her.
8. Madiha Imam as Maya in Dil-e-Momin
We love how Madiha has added softness & sadness to Maya’s character that, despite her character being so pushy & imposing we are not irritated & actually feel for her.
9. Ushna Shah as Naheed in Parizaad
Ushna’s performance as Naheed deserves to be mentioned. It makes us wonder what she is upto… subtly & beautifully, Naheed embodies so many sides to her personality, Ushna has shown us each one of them.
10. Ahmed Ali Akbar as Parizaad
From being slightly surprised at Naheed’s request, to telling Kamali to tell RJ Annie to look for Parizaad within the walls of the university, Ahmed’s performance was praiseworthy & deserves applause. In just one episode we witnessed a wide range of expressions.
