Her performance has always been exceptional; be it jolly Ameera of Raqeeb Se & Jiya of Suno Chanda or level-headed Noori from Ranjha Ranjha Kardi & Mahi from Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. She has left a mark on her fans throughout. We were fortunate to host at te FUCHSIA studio recently and we give you some excerpts from our conversation.

Yeh bohat matter karta hai k aap ko koi insaan mile jis se aap ko feeling aye k haan yaar yeh woh banda hai jis k sath mein pori zindagi guzar sakti hoon.

Iqra Aziz

According to Iqra, you find the right person when you aren’t pushing things too hard whilst being with someone. Your intentions matter and things only work out when you have pure intentions to get married. Moreover, she emphasized the significance of keeping & building an optimistic perspective and settling down with whatever God has offered you.

Respect Takes Precedence Over Love In Marriage

Shaadi mein pyar aap ka thoray arsay ka hota hai, shaadi mein izzat hoti hai. Woh izzat aap ki ho na toh shaadi chalti hai.

Iqra Aziz

Iqra says that at the beginning of a relationship, the love you have for your partner is different from the kind of love you share once you are married. The dynamics of the relationship change after marriage. She went on to explain that the couple grows individually as well as together, they have children and several other responsibilities to tackle.

Iqra believes that in a marriage, companionship and how two people go about things together matters more than love. She also emphasizes the importance of learning from each other and taking care of everyone that is affiliated with both parties. She talks about seeking therapy or asking for help if required in a relationship as well.

Iqra Aziz

Iqra shared that she had a very smooth pregnancy. She told us how she used to watch different videos of places that sell yummy food in Karachi and went out to have them with Yasir because she craved them. She tried Nalli Biryani on the streets of Lalukhet while being pregnant with Kabir! How cute is that?

Motherhood As A Working Woman

Mujhe bacha paidah karne ka bhi shauq tha. I have always loved kids. Matlab bachpan se hi main hamesha bachon k aspas hoti thi, aap mujhe kisi ka bhi bacha de dein. Mujhe bas bache hamesha se hi bohat pasand thay.

Iqra Aziz

Iqra shares that she was so excited to hold Kabir in her arms. Adding to that, she shared her memory of shooting the first video of Kabir featuring his clueless expressions as a new-born!

Talking about motherhood, Iqra revealed that she is one to prefer practicality over emotions. She also talked about the mom’s guilt she feels when she leaves Kabir at home with her mother and goes to work but she thinks it’s essential for her child to understand the importance of having a career-orientated mother.
