The stars of the film, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa were recently hosted by FUCHSIA Magazine for our segment Gup Shup with FUCHSIA, where they talked about their film and revealed quite riveting details about each other!
Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad will be Mahira and Fahad’s first project together. Directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali, the film is all set to release this Eid-ul-Adha. Along with a sprinkle of drama and romance, the film will also be touching upon a social message relevant to today’s time: corruption.
Mahira and Fahad sat down for a chat and revealed how, from not knowing each other despite working in the same industry for several years, they have bonded over the course of the shoot of their film. While keeping the story under wraps, they spill some tea about what happened on the set and a lot of interesting details about each other. Read below to catch up:
1. What Traits Do Mahira And Fahad Find Best About One Another
Mahira and Fahad were all praises for each other throughout the interview. Though, Mahira had to say that she has a ‘gila‘ (complaint) with Fahad that he didn’t spend too much time with Mahira on set as he is very shy and an introvert. However, they eventually bonded towards the end of the film.
Fahad said that Mahira brings a lot of positive energy on set and she loves poetry and literature which is very surprising as many actors don’t. He even talked about the fact that he initially felt intimidated by Mahira, but she made him feel comfortable.
Mahira feels that Fahad is very generous and is likely to be always found on the set.
2. The Co-Stars Want To Pursue Acting But As A Passion Only
Mahira and Fahad both talked about how they still feel nervous when they do a new project in spite of working for years now! They discussed about how they both want to work on passion projects and need mandatory breaks in between.
Fahad believes that he has short bursts of energy and he doesn’t do films because of money as he feels that he won’t be passionate about a project if only money is involved.

3. On The Set Of The Film And About Their Roles
Mahira and Fahad jokingly said that they would do each other’s role and they both appreciate the storyline.
Mahira revealed that she wanted to work with Fahad as well as the producer-director duo of Fizza Ali and Nabeel Qureshi.
Fahad talked about how he did all the stunts in the movie. He referred to his injury, incidentally, one day before the shoot of the film began and has till date! He also mentioned how him learning how to ride a heavy bike earlier in life proved to be a blessing for him in the film.
Mahira also shared that she learnt to ride a bike for this film as well. They further went on to talk about production issues such as lack of junior artists that are imperative for a film’s completion.
4. Their Children’s Reaction To The Trailer
Mahira and Fahad both talked about their children in the interview. While Mahira revealed that her son, Azaan hasn’t watched the trailer yet, Fahad’s children didn’t only watch it but also created their own version of the trailer as well!
5. Their Take On The Significance Of Social Messages In The Film
Mahira revealed that she was inspired not only by her scenes but also from other scenes that are in the film. She mentioned that the dialogues in the script were very impactful and compelling. Fahad also shared that he believes it is imperative to give social messages through storytelling; however, they need to be done in an entertaining way as the audience’s attention span is minimal.
