What good will it be if I talk about very serious, personal issues – Mahira Khan
Mahira Khan is a risk taker. In an industry where continuing with the success factor that ‘works’, and regurgitating the same old formula multiple times, till the audience predicts the final episode in the very first teaser drop, Mahira has chosen to pick up diverse stories.
She speaks to her audience, sometimes as a deeply complex, defeated Mehreen, and then, as General Nigar Johar. She has defended each of her characters with a sincerity that can only be Mahira. It is because of this steadfastness, this belief in the roles she portrays onscreen, that she continues to rule the drama world today with a different vibe. Mahira has chosen a broad spectrum of projects recently, from Prince Charming, Aik Hai Nigar to Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay. Whether we love them or hate them we have an opinion about them – it is safe to say that when Mahira performs a role, she starts conversations, and THAT is perhaps her greatest triumph!
