10 Best Moments From 10 Years of Everyone’s Favourite Humsafar

Humsafar’s first episode was aired on Hum TV in the year 2011. Written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Sarmad Khoosat, it was the digital representation of Farhats’s novel with the same name “Humsafar”. It starred Fawad Khan as Ashar and Mahira Khan as Khirad, the drama also consisted of Atiqa Odho, Naveen Waqar and Behroze Sabzwari. Humsafar is the most successful drama on Hum TV till today. The serial was not only liked by Pakistanis it was also highly liked by people worldwide.

This year Humsafar has completed 10 Years since it went on-air and to celebrate this epic story, we give you 10 best moments from Humsafar:

1) The Iconic “Baarish” Scene

Everyone’s favourite baarish scene should be at the top of the list. Khirad, wearing that stunning black dress and enjoying the rain while Ashar watches on her was indeed a memorable scene. The love that mirrored in Ashar’s eyes while watching Khirad and the joy we felt in Khirad’s surely made the audience obsess over them.

2) “Zarday ki daig lag rahi ho”- The scene which had us Laughing and Obssesing over Ashar and Khirad!

The scene when Khirad is all dressed up in a yellow frock and Ashar says to her, “Zarday ki daig lag rahi ho” had us ROFL and after this, the way he tells Khirad that she looks beautiful in everything made us all go “AWW!” This was a funny-romantic moment that had our hearts.

3) “Kya mein apki bhanji ban ker iss ghar mein nahi reh sakti thi?”- A scene where we saw a strong Khirad confronting her Mamo

After Khirad and Asher’s marriage, the scene where Khirad asks her Mamo why he bound her and Ashar into an unwanted relationship just for the sake of looking after her when her mother died was indeed a poignant scene. It was one of the first scenes where we saw Khirad as a strong girl speaking for herself, the way she questioned Ashar’s father made us root for her all over again!

4) Khirad’s Arrival Into Ashar’s Room

One of the very memorable scenes, the scene where Ashar brings Khirad to his room and says that he will try his best to make this relation work was definately a heart-warming scene. Ashar’s mannerisms of and Khirad’s nervous anxiety both added charm to the scene.

5) Ashar’s Surrender To Love

The scene where Khirad is dressed in white, and Ashar, while looking at Khirad says, “I love you Khirad” made us obsess over Ashar once more. The way Ashar finally surrendered to his love, the way he told her how she takes care of him and how much she means to him was a super cute moment indeed.

6)”Tum mujhe tiktiki bandh ker dekhti rehti ho”-another swoon worthy moment

Ashar’s confrontaion with Khirad, that she is always watching him when he is doing some work and the moment Ashar looks back at her she lowers her eyes was indeed a heart-warming scene. The way Ashar adresses Khirad and Khirad’s nervous blushing while looking at him made the Ashar and Khirad jori stamped in time for us as the best ever to grace our screens.

7) Ashar Compliments Khirad

When Khirad was standing infront of the mirror wearing a black dress and Ashar comes and looks at her with love and says “Bohat achi lag rahi ho”, the scene added more beauty to Humsafar. Just after complimenting, Ashar unties her hair and forces Khirad and all of us watching to blush is surely a scene set in stone.

8) “Ap mujhse naraz hein?”- Khirad asks Ashar

The scene where Khirad comes home late and Ashar isnt talking to her, and Khirad tries to convince him was an addorable scene. However, the way Ashar gets angry at her surely made us a bit sad, but still, we loved the way Khirad tried to convince him.

9) “Apke siwa mera aur koi nahi!”- a heart-touching scene

Khirad’s lovely words, when she stood next to Ashar and said, “Apka siwa mera aur koi nahi, koi rishta nahi hai, koi apna nahi hai, ap mera sab kuch hein Asher.” This scene was so beautiful yet heart-touching, Khirad saying to Ashar all these words just captured our hearts.

10) Ashar Reads Khirad’s Letter

Last but not the least, when Asher reads Khirad’s letter and starts to understand the whole event which caused the misunderstanding left us in tears. The helplessness we could feel through Khirad’s words left us emotional and teary-eyed.

What a drama Humsafar was, it has completed a decade and still is in the heart of its audience. The beautiful Mahira Khan with Fawad Khan on-screen were lovely to watch. Humsafar, Ashar and Khirad still are in the hearts of people and are strongly remembered.
