Is Basit's Behaviour Towards His Mother Justified? Habs Review
credits: ARY DIgital

It will be disappointing if we find out that Basit’s mother was not really at fault and did try to contact Basit … so much of his life wasted.

If she never made an effort when he was young, then Basit is right, why bother now. He will of course, feel confused and angry. Though the question that arises is that, should he have done it in front of all his friends? Or do you believe it is never too late ?

Highlights Of The Episode

It was interesting to see how he was smiling with Ayesha as he was cutting the cake, however his expressions and frame of mind changed the minute he sees his mother.

We also question, how can his mother not remember his date of birth? Is it too much to expect a mother to remember her child’s DOB?

Seems like his mother is correct, Basit is developing a soft corner for Ayesha and in his own way, trying to make an effort. How he didn’t want to see her crying and wanted her back in the room. He still has a long way to go but we sense a glimmer of hope…

It was a cute moment between mother in law and Ayesha where she convinces Ayesha that Basit is really getting attached to her presence, that she is bringing about a gradual change in him. We agree with her, though Ayesha is reluctant to admit, and we don’t blame her. She doesn’t want to raise her hopes.

Points To Note

The drama highlights a very important point in handling young adults – how Zoya’s mother needs to treat Zoya with some respect and care. She cannot impose her decisions on Zoya who is rebellious enough to take any action – A story line many mothers and daughters can relate to in similar situation.

Aamir is so infuriating in how he refuses to accept his mother was at fault as well and instead, keeps blaming Basit for everything that went wrong.

I think his behaviour is justified as she leaved him for years then came back again I mean what was his fault why she didn’t take him with her he also deserves to be loved by his mom . I completely agree with the behaviour.
