Karachi Eat festival 2023 kicked off with a massive turnout on Friday evening. The three-day festival celebrates its decade this year. From traditional spicy chaat to cheesy pizza, luscious paan to creamy waffles, aromatic coffees to fizzy and refreshing sodas and mouth-watering biryani to lip-smacking nihari everything was available under the open sky. As usual, The food fest has come back bigger and stronger.

Organized at the Beach View Park, the festival lit up the city of lights to make it appear even brighter. People enjoyed their meals in an atmosphere of music and rhythm.
Although the event will last 3 days, it seems like Karachiites were waiting to hit the food event of the year since it wrapped up last year. The turnout was unexpected but the management was well prepared. The sprawling ground hosting the event was flooded with over 100 food stalls along with throngs of people entering through the gates.

What could be more delicious than Pancakes, Waffles and Crepes? If you have a sweet tooth then The House Of PWC is a particular must-visit stall for you. The soft creamy crepes will make you want to lick the plate clean and the mini pancakes with a scoop of ice cream were the cherry on top.

Good news for Chai Lovers! A brand new flavor of tea is available at Cocoa Cuisine By Sam , at the Karachi Eat festival named aptly as “Gulab Chai”. No, it doesn’t have a Gulab Jamun in it but it is served and prepared with rose petals. The owner and chef, Sam, claims that they are the first to introduce this new variant of tea. Other than the tea, the menu has Pizza popsicles, Tortilla pizza wrap and Royal Cookies which are worth trying.

Just like last year it was by far the most popular amongst youngsters. and it still is! From its smokey dragon breath special to smokey ice cream, the crowd was fully relishing every sip.

Other honorable mentions are Coffee by Sky Bar, Snacc, Gappachri by National Foods, Snow Cones, Cocktail House and Jalebi Express.

One word that describes the first day of the event is – impressive. Everything including the ambiance, management, security, facilities, space, parking, cleanliness and above all food was simply impressive.
