Are you a fan of Green Tea or Chai? Not sure? Don’t worry, you will get your answer by reading this article!
Tea is the daily boosting beverage we all have in our daily routines. Moreover, there are numerous types of tea, and all of them have their benefits. But, Chai and Green Tea are the two most commonly consumed beverages by most of us. However, the question arises as to which one is more beneficial for our health? Let’s find out which one it is!
1) Lesser Caffeine Intake
Caffeine acts as an energy pill as it controls attentiveness, eases weakness, and increases our capacity for mental and physical activity. However, excessive intake of caffeine can cause insomnia, nervousness, stomach irritation, nausea, raised heart rate, and other harmful side effects. But, luckily there is a lesser amount of caffeine in Green tea as compared to Chai. Hence, this means fewer chances of facing caffeine-related health issues.
2) Better For Headaches
We all know that both drinks have properties like caffeine and essential minerals that can cure headaches. But, Green tea is a lighter beverage than Chai which means we feel lightheaded instantly after having it. Moreover, Chai contains ingredients that take time to settle, whereas the other one only contains water and leaves that work spontaneously in our bodies. Hence, it is a better option to cure headaches.
3) Healthier For Immunity
Due to Covid-19, it has become essential to take care of our immunity for better prevention against the disease. Therefore, both beverages contain polyphenols that affect the number of regulatory t-cells to improve our immune system. However, Green tea also has anti-microbial properties, which inhibit the growth of bacteria and viruses. Hence, it is a better choice to make our immunity strong against Covid-19.
4) Helps In Digestion
Both of our selected beverages contain high amounts of flavonoids (antioxidants) to help better digestion. However, Green tea has more catechin flavonoids, whereas Chai has more theaflavins and thearubigins flavonoids. Nevertheless, all these flavonoids are beneficial, but our body needs more catechin flavonoids for better digestion of food. Hence, it is an excellent source of effective antioxidants for metabolism than Chai.
5) Fights Chest Inflammation
We often feel soreness and burning sensation in our chest due to the consumption of spicy foods. This inflammation is common but creates several other problems like ulcers, heartburn, and GERD if not treated instantly. However, unlike Chai, Green tea has antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties which work against inflammation like magic. Hence, it is light and the best instant remedy for chest inflammation.
