Karachi Eat is the biggest food festival which is held every year and this year it is celebrating its decade. Yes! Karachi eat is back and so are the delicious cuisines along with the delightful musical concert. Every year Karachiites gather to enjoy the most exotic combination of food and music. This year too, the massive, much awaited, mega treat for foodies has a lot to offer alongside food.

The event took off at around 7 PM on Friday evening and the public welcomed their most awaited festival with open arms – the tsunami of the gathering throngs witnessed on the first day is a tribute to the organizers that after 10 fabulous years, Karachi Eat is here to stay! But other than the food, visitors at the premises also commended the facilities provided at the premises. And we’re telling you why!

Karachi Eat – 5 Things Other Than Food That Won’t Go Unnoticed!

1. Efficiency & Abundance Of The Janitorial Staff

One thing that must be appreciated about Karachi Eat festival this year is definitely the janitorial staff. A festival of this magnitude inevitably leads to garbage disposal crises and mismanagement of the same magnitude! However, pleasant surprise, regardless of the excessive amount of people and chaos at the venue, the janitors ensured cleanliness and were efficient in clearing up and keeping the area garbage free.

2. Management & Security

The management and security were also incredibly impressive. Even though it was opening day and they had not expected such a large number of people to show up, there were no signs of mismanagement and security was ensured in terms of any potential brawls that could break up among people, or crowd clashes. The seating arrangement was also well planned. The management took us by surprise, especially at the time of musical performances when it is hard to keep the audience orderly.

3. An Online Experience With Food Panda

We all know that Food Panda is an online food and grocery platform and its presence at Karachi Eat was the cherry on top. People can order their favourite food options from the event for the purposes of home delivery. Customers could also order the deals online at the event (a great time saver) and enjoy it at the food panda stall, isn’t that great!?

4. Organised Car Parking

Even though many people were not aware of the designated parking space, once there, the area was planned quite effectively. Those who followed the map properly arrived successfully and found a parking space behind the park. The positive thing is that there was an ambulance at the gate for emergencies and first aid treatments.

A word of advice, please don’t park on the main road! It leads to congestion, inspires the civic sense in you and your family and friends and makes the final journey by foot from the car park, all that food awaits, a few steps are well worth it.

5. Availability Of Branch On Wheels-ATM

One thing we had not expected was the availability of an ATM machine. BankIslami has solved the problem for attendees who were not in the mood to carry cash with them. A branch on wheels-ATM service was available to facilitate the public. Now you can easily enjoy the festival without worrying about running low on cash.

Despite the commendable organization at the Karachi Eat Festival, you might notice minor issues that come with visiting a place jam-packed with foodies and crowds of animated food lovers, waiting to experience their flavours and music in one go, like bad cellphone reception near the entrance gates, long queues for online ticket holders and the existence of 2 checkpoints, though we understand they were there to ensure our security still it was a bit cumbrous to pass again and again but the organizers’ efforts at crowd management and maintaining order must be appreciated. Tell us about your experience at the biggest food festival of the year! issues
