Wondering if the number ranged in thousands, umm, millions (one day) – the secret number is 14! And 13 of them were his friends – take that for starting out small. That too, it was February 14th when he performed before this very cozy crowd – so the number 14 is definitely his lucky number!
2. Will you get to know the girl well before you marry her?
Direct shaadi, he responds! My generation has seen the other side of the coin, waiting it out and meeting up also doesn’t work always. Now I am sked in every 3rd conversation – when are you getting married? It’s a normal topic.
“Oh, and when it does happen it will be with full on celebrations and festivities. Not to worry!” He announces happily!
3. Is fame addictive? We asked.
“Yes it is, he says, at least for some time. You must not let it get to your head. We are human beings. Humans are fallible, we make mistakes – that’s the beauty of this life. When we do something wrong, remember to take the opportunity to repent and move forward. “

4. Did your parents support your decision to take on singing as a full time career?
My father always wanted me to become a doctor. But my dad was very happy in the end. he was very satisfied. So then, I got a lot of confidence, to be able to move ahead. Then everything else, all negativity faded away. I felt now my cause had the blessings of my parents and God above. So everything just opened up after that!
Hasan’s regard for his parents’ acceptance and blessings just hit right for so many young people who struggle to fulfil their dreams by pursuing nontraditional career choices. There are lessons here for both parents and the youth – no wonder this singing sensation is fast becoming, not just a heartthrob, but a role model for young Pakistanis all over the world!
5. Did you change yourself when you realized
“Yes, I realized I am someone now, so I started on self-improvement. I changed the way I used to look after myself, my things. I felt the pressure! I started helping my mother. She also helps me, but I take wardrobe advice from her when she’s helping pack my stuff. It’s really good, I feel good.”

6. Why did you call your new album Nautanki?
It’s an experimental album. Whatever you understand from this album is your takeaway. If you don’t like on first listen, listen in again and again and you might get something from it. So, I talk about change a lot, and you will get different moods from it, I talk about how I’m feeling at the time!
7. Anxiety before you step on the stage?
|Stress is there a bit, there is performance anxiety. But when I was very young, in grade 5, my father wanted me to perform a Punjabi song at a function. And but then I did so many shows, and I realized that whatever I did, I received love from the audience, so I thought, this is good, I can go for it! That gave me a lot of confidence!”
