Yet again challenging societal norms with a fresh take, 7th Sky Entertainment is presenting Jhoom, produced by Abdullah Kadwani & Asad Qureshi which will be airing on Har Pal Geo TV. The lead cast features the young and promising Haroon Kadwani & the charismatic Zara Noor Abbas with a number of other supporting cast members. Jhoom is directed by Ali Faizan who has previously directed, Mere Hamnasheen and written by Hashim Nadeem Khan of Khuda Aur Mohabbat.
Storyline Of Jhoom
Jhoom appears to be a drama focusing on society’s reluctance and non-acceptance towards an older woman marrying a younger guy. The issue should have been deemed a normal human aspect, yet society has deemed it as unnatural. Aryan (Haroon) is ready to fight for Maryam (Zara) but Maryam, (her attempt at being realistic) is resisting even though she does agree, that her heart beats only for Aryan. There seems to be romance, action and heartbreak, all ingredients hinting at a good mix for a hit. The drama is highly anticipated by viewers as it is expected to offer a unique & engaging storyline.
We have now seen the narrative of older woman, younger guy played out in Dobara and Agar, however, more stories need to be added to the mix so as to represent this multi-layered relationship in our society. Hence, Jhoom can surely add to the conversation.
Moreover, the story appears to be a roller coaster of emotions between lovers, Aryan & Maryam, who are to face several obstacles along the way. Thus, from societal pressures to personal demons the trailer gives viewers a glimpse into the intensity and passion that will be featured in the show, it also leaves audiences with a sense of curiosity – will the couple be able to overcome the obstacles in their path and finally unite?
