From discussing cold cases to interviewing people who survived kidnappings and murderous attempts, Criminal keeps the suspense at an all-time high! With approximately 200 episodes to choose from, FUCHSIA recommends you start off by listening to Episode 113: Hostage which chronicles a bank robbery in Stockholm’s Norrmalmstorg town square in 1973 which would end up making history and result in the coining of the term “Stockholm Syndrome”. This particular episode even includes snippets from one of the bank robbers, Clark Olofsson, who candidly shares what happened that day.
FUCHSIA Recommends You Read – Good Rich People

Goodreads: 3.3/5
“The trouble with living a hard life is that you start to see the world differently. Your mind and your instincts and your outlook are forever altered by negative experiences. You expect bad things to happen…. Oddly, this leaves you less prepared to deal with bad things when they do happen. You have become accustomed to not trusting your instincts. You are so used to telling yourself that it is all in your head that you can’t tell when it’s not.”
Eliza Jane Brazier, Good Rich People
Good Rich People by Eliza Jane Brazier is described as a ‘page-turner of the highest order’. The story features Lyla and Graham, a rich couple who may look “normal” on the outside but have a deep-kept secret. Their form of entertainment, aided by Graham’s mother Margo, centres around inviting budding entrepreneurs to live in their guest house and ensnare them in a cat and mouse chase which usually ends in ruin. That is until Demi… Demi is the rich couple’s new “subject of interest” who has spent her life barely getting by and she’s not going down without a fight! The book is full of sarcasm, intrigue and psychological thrill – definitely, one to add to your to-read list!

FUCHSIA Recommends You Watch – HIT: The First Case

IMDB Rating: 7/10
HIT: The First case is a remake of the Telugu film HIT: The first case, released in 2020. Being an original remake, it’s directed by its original director, Dr Sailesh Kolanu. The film is based on Vikram (played by Rajkumar Rao), who’s a detective at the homicide department. He has his demons and is dealing with severe PTSD, which makes his therapist, girlfriend, and friend, wonder if he’s mentally okay to pursue his career. After giving it some thought, he decides to take a break, but things take a drastic turn, and he rejoins the force despite the odds. He takes on the case of Preeti, a young girl who’s mysteriously disappeared, and one of the departments’ very own is missing too. Leading the investigation, Vikram is forced to face his fears, and the suspense builds (to the point where the audience goes ‘Oh my God!’). Thrill? Check! Suspense? Check! Worth the watch! Defining yes! Plus, we see Rajkumar Rao in character like never before, and safe to say, he aced it! HIT: The Second case is reportedly in the works too!
