Yunhi – It is surprising how Kim expects everyone around her to change but refuses to change herself at all. Is Dawood being conservative if he asks Kim not to meet George? Can jealousy or care for someone be termed as conservative?

Kim’s Eventual Journey
Maybe we will witness Kim changing somewhat in the final episode. It is amazing how she goes on about life just assuming that what is right for her, will be right for everyone around her. Given her background, one would expect that she will be more receptive to the views and sentiments of those around her or at least, her close relationships. Meeting your ex is something that even someone in the west might not be okay with, so it wasn’t fair of Kim to call Dawood conservative.
Kim’s POV
While we appreciate that Kim told Dawood she had met George, which showed that she really doesn’t think she did anything wrong, she is behaving quite stubbornly in not accepting his point of view or taking it into consideration. Kim’s attitude in life is more about doing things her own way and not considering the other person in a relationship – more as if she is, really, a single person still, and not married to Dawood. And hence, does not need to alter her life decisions based on mutual consent.
Suraiya Saying It Like It Is
Good going Suriya, we loved what you said to Daniyal: “It is not about what Kim is doing, look at what YOU are doing.” An important lesson for anyone thinking of acting maliciously.
Dawood In A Fix!
Dawood is in a fix, he has been offered to work at the medical camp in an affected area. He is already struggling with convincing Kim to stay back in Pakistan, this will be even more difficult, or can we really hope to see an entirely different side of Kim emerge?
Conservative vs Concern
One wonders, if someone is acting out of possessiveness or being consciously concerned about what is right and what is inappropriate, are they being conservative? Can one not be possessive or concerned about something even if they are the most broad-minded person? Kim though, didn’t think that deeply, despite Zulfi trying to caution her. She instantly drew her own conclusions. Not only that, but she also reacted impulsively to Dawood’s objections and refused to listen to him with a clear mind.
One wonders, what happened to mutual respect in a relationship? Her behavior and tone were indignant, far removed from the tone in which Dawood addressed her. Can we really keep expecting Dawood to be flawless, or be exactly how Kim wants him to be, just so that he can show her Pakistani men are not how she had imagined them to be?
