This week we bring you a list of 8 actors who took us by surprise with their amazing performances. From the evergreen and versatile, Arjumand Rahim to the new bee in town, Fajjer Khan, our industry certainly holds a dynamic combination of actors that give us great entertainment. Here is the list of actors who impressed us this week:

1. Srha Asghar as Fajar for Aakhir Kab Tak

Srha’s hesitance, her subtle expression changes, especially her interaction with Noor after the rishta scene made us both apprehensive for her, and smile at her innocence. Fajar is touching hearts across the screen.

2. Fajjer Khan as Naseem Zehra’s character in Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi

We are rooting for Naseem Zehra as she marches ahead with great courage. Her simple mannerisms & quiet strength have our hearts!

3. Sheheryar Munawar as Aslam in Pehli Si Mohabbat

Aslam’s helplessness as he weeps for Rakshi in Nadeem’s house. His tears, his tone & his body language are making us feel for his loss. Well done there Sheheryar, you nailed the scene.

4. Yumna Zaidi as Rakhi in Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi

Rakhi’s frozen fear when she asked about her father in the village, her impatient anxiety with Jimmy when she wanted to act, & he wants to be cautious – Yumna is staying true to Rakhi’s character throughout the narrative & it’s a treat to watch!

5. Azekah Daniel in Dunk

Minal finally came into her own as she pushed for an open dialogue with Haider. Azekah’s tone conveyed firmness yet kept the softness we love in her demeanor. Well done there Azekah, your tempered performance won us this week.

6. Wahaj Ali as Hamza in Fitoor

What a comeback Hamza! We saw you switching from deewana aashiq to a seemingly ‘sorted’ young man as you faced off with Haider & then Dilnasheen. The intense eye contact had us on the edge of our seats. The angry young man & quiet, sinister feel about you is giving us goose bumps!

7. Affan Waheed as Meerab in Shehnai

Affan is getting more space to showcase his talent now. His controlled anger, frustration at Bakht, keeping the peace with his parents & resigned attitude with Hunain. You are living Meerab’s pareshaan haal now & we’re feeling for you!

8. Arjumand Rahim as Nadia for Phaans

Nadia we felt your disappointment with your son, your pain as you sat unaware in the rain, your horrific expressions when Saahil comes near you – realization has dawned finally. Arjumand, we see you putting your heart & soul in Nadia!

Once again we come to the end of the list. We look forward to next week’s performances!
