If you felt his heart will harden at the sight of Laila’s betrayal – it didn’t. Parizaad stays strong to his word, just like the olden day heroes, and we are probably loving him for that!

Parizaad is the man who is giving us old fashioned goals in a modern world. Yes, he is nothing like your modern-day hero, yet going strong! “Look over your shoulder, have you got your back? Be practical, don’t get fooled” … much as his desire to make it big (and wealthy) in one roll of the die, Parizaad defies death, practical wisdom and even the worldly air of one who tries to know better. He just follows his heart, he empathizes, and he barely scrapes though … every time. The last time was a close call!
Why Are Audiences Rooting So Much For Parizaad?

Is it Ahmed Ali’s performance? Is it the character itself, penned so beautifully by Hashim Nadeem that we are floored every time we see his heart soften for a friend, every time he extends himself to do a good deed, and every time he escapes a rotten destiny? His friends fall away, even as he helps them, demanding nothing in return, his family, other than his sister, couldn’t care less about his future unless he turns up with a bag of gold at their doorstep, the people he encounters, exploit him, or leave him, from Naheed to Laila, to Lubna and Bubbly too, (let’s not forget the very hasaas Nasaaz) or are the benefactors of his generosity.
Parizaad never expects anything in return from those he has aided in their time of need. THAT is what makes him so utterly old-fashioned and real! His unworldly spirit couldn’t give a damn if Laila keeps lying to protect herself or if Janu or Saeeda’s husband never repay him … he just keeps going on, doing the right thing!
Parizaad – The Selfless Role Model We Look Up To

And that’s why audiences love him. Because, as much as we love to advise our near and dear ones to be smart, to look over their shoulder, to not be fooled, and demand a high price for their services – Parizaad does none of the above. It is his purity, his transparent soul that we salute – as Shakespeare penned it aptly for Julius Caesar:
His life was gentle, and the elements mixed so well in him that Nature might stand up and say to all the world, “This was a man.”
Mark Antony – Julius Caesar
Hashim Nadeem might well have had a perfect mix in mind for Parizaad as well!
Onwards To Last Night’s Episode Review
An exciting and suspenseful episode, making us sad at the sudden and unexpected exit of Laila but happy that Parizaad baal baal bach gaya.

Parizaad proved he is a good guy through and through in trying to save Laila till the last minute despite her betrayal. Urwa delivered her brief yet impactful few episodes with a grace that is Urwa – from the mournful, solitary wife, to the defiant young girl, she invoked the audience’s sympathy till the last.
Both Laila and Parizaad underestimated Behroze. But can Behroze escape the police now? The episode layers mystery and intrigue – as one answer is revealed, another mystery is thrown in, keeping us guessing till the end.
This Scene Was LIT!

Parizaad questioning Maalik on why he couldn’t forgive Laila and his answer to him on why he covered up:
“mujhe gawara nahi tha keh aap kay zaati guard ke saamne aapki ghairat ya izzat pe harf aaye”
Loyal to the end! The episode belonged to Nouman Ijaz and Ahmed Ali Akbar, though Urwa Hocane won as many hearts on the day! Parizaad seems to be sinking deeper into the ugly underbelly of the drug world. Has the realisation that he is caged and can’t find an escape from this situation even if he wants to, dawned upon him in a horrifying awakening yet? On one hand, his loyalty brings tears to our eyes, but on the other, our hearts cry out desperately to save him. What would you do if you were Parizaad?
