Dobara – Sakina Samo as Phuppo brings in the comic factor & in such a brilliantly natural style. Was it defiance to his parents that Maahir didn’t tell them the truth about Mehroo? Here is what we thought about last night’s episode.

A man marrying a younger woman should be acceptable. But due to social judgments & biases, a woman hardly finds a suitable match for herself, & often ends up marrying a guy much older than her, as is the case with Mehroo & Ibtisaam. Dobara also highlights how it is difficult to get an appropriate marriage proposal for single, middle-aged women.

Does Maahir need to make more of an effort to land some form of work & steady income or is he a realistic portrayal of the disappointment & frustration many young men feel?
The scene where Maahir comes across a father playing with his son in the park was an apt portrayal of the deprivation & mehroomi that exists inside him.

Javed Sheikh’s entry into the Dobara household made for some smiling moments. The jogging attempt in the park, Affan’s disregard for him & his swiftly transformed hair color, phuppo’s pressure for him to marry Mehru, all added to the lighter moments in the episode.

Maahir & Mehru’s relationship might undergo a shift soon. The narrative is attempting to handle this sensitive topic very gently and taking us, the viewers along.
As we await the next plot twist, we anticipate how these 2 people whom we have fallen in love with already, might embark on a journey that will challenge the norms many amongst us hold dear.

Dobara’s next episode will be an absorbing watch!
