The trailer of Ghabrana Nahi Hai is exactly how trailers should be cut – not giving away too much but at the same time, hooking the audience and making it captivating enough to pull them towards the cinemas!
Ghabrana Nahi Hai on the surface seems to be a story about romance, action, corruption, women empowerment, politics with carefully added elements or subplots & without which a desi film seems to be incomplete – shadi and of course, an antagonist who fights for a woman in the name of izzat.

The film is set to release on Eid-ul-Fitr this year. Starring Saba Qamar and Zahid Ahmed, the film is a blend of drama, romance, and comedy. It is directed by Saqib Khan who also directed Mohay Bhool Gaye Sawariya (2017) starring Bushra Ansari, Fatima Shah Jillani, and others. The film is written by the multi-talented actor and director Mohsin Ali of Wrong No. and Chhuppan Chhuppai. Produced by Jamil Baig and Hassan Zia, it seems to have a promising narrative.
The ensemble cast also includes Syed Jibran, Sohail Ahmed, Afzal Khan (Rambo), Nayyar Ejaz, Saleem Mairaj, and Dodi Khan.
The First Look
The trailer is aptly cut, leaving the viewer wanting more. The transition from one scene to another is executed brilliantly with there being no dull moments in the two and a half minutes trailer. Though we missed a dance number in this one from the leads, the filmy and dramatic sequences of Saba and the actionfrom Zahid covered up for it.
The film is just the right pick for the desi Eid viewers who love drama, action, and romance blended in one. Ghabrana Nahi Hai seems to have that filmy touch with the much-needed glamour. Saba’s wardrobe is so intelligently styled; her attire symbolizes the transition her character will undergo, and of course, this goes without saying that Saba looks stunning!

Likewise, for Zahid, he looks every bit the part. It’s time to have our very own police officer hero in cinemas (though we are waiting eagerly to see Fahad Mustafa in Quaid e Azam Zindabad). Zahid is handing out full on expressions and the right ones!
Nayyer Ijaz who is playing the villain in the film, Syed Jibran who is probably the jealous fiance, and Sohail Ahmed as Saba’s father, all seem to have performed their roles well. Lastly, we also caught a glimpse of Saleem Mairaj who never fails to do justice to a character!
The Narrative
The trailer opens with Saba’s narration “apni retirement ki din aba bohat khush thay” (dad was very happy on the day he retired) and focuses on her middle-class household that is apparently very happy and celebrating. However, things go downhill when Saba finds herself in a property dispute. She turns to the police for help, that’s where she meets Zahid’s character.
Zahid plays a police officer (most probably a corrupt one). However, we are assuming that as the plot thickens, Zahid will shift sides and help Saba fight against Nayyer Ijaz’s character who threatens him in a scene, “Agar adalat men humari peshi hui, tou agli bar gaal, tera hoga sipahsalar, (If I am called into court, yours will be the next cheek I slap).

As for Saba’s character we are expecting her to go through a transition from a middle-class social media influencer to an actress.
The trailer promises flourishing romance between Zahid and Saba’s character with Jibran’s character in the running. Interlaced between these three we can expect action sequences and many dramatic sequences. We are expecting to see romance flourish between Zahid and Saba’s character and a love triangle with Jibran’s character in between. Interlaced between these, we can expect action sequences and MANY dramatic scenes!
Ghabrana Nahi Hai seems to be a roller coaster ride that will set the right mode for an Eid release-this one sure is packed with entertainment!
