30-40 grams barley
69 grams shredded chicken
1/2 Onion
1 tomato
80 grams capsicum (shimla mirch), peas & carrots
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
2-3 green chillies
1/4 teaspoon garlic paste
Chilli powder to taste
1 chicken cube
Method
Fry cumin seeds, green chilies, and garlic. Add onions and tomatoes and cook for a few minutes. Then add any vegetables of your choice (this recipe has capsicum), peas, and carrots. Add salt, chili powder, chicken cube, shredded boiled chicken, and let it cook for some time. After that, add pearl barley and water.
This recipe takes around 40 minutes to cook but tastes divine!
You can pair this up with some refreshing cold lassi. But, try using less salt in it as it may make you feel thirsty throughout the day.
