Peechay Hutt goes global! Marvel Studios’ highly sought-after web series Ms. Marvel will be featuring the Coke Studio famed song, Peechay Hutt. How exciting!

Marvel Studios for Pakistani fans is a gift that keeps on giving. It was announced earlier this month that the latest talk of the town, Ms. Marvel, will be premiering in cinemas across Pakistan in June and July. And if that wasn’t enough to get your excitement levels to touch the sky, the current youth anthem from Coke Studio, ‘Peechay Hutt’ will also be featured in the highly-anticipated web series.
How We Know
Senior Journalist and Entertainment reporter at BBC Asian Network, Haroon Shahid, took to Twitter to share his review of the first 2 episodes of Ms. Marvel. He gushed over the South Asian representation in the series, including the mention of Shahrukh Khan’s movies and meethi saunf. Not only that, he revealed that the web series features Hassan Raheem’s Peechay Hutt as a soundtrack!
“LOVED the first 2 eps of Ms. Marvel. This is the South Asian rep I want to see. Sugar-coated saunf, dialogue about @iamsrk’s best film, a soundtrack including @hasanraheeem’s Peechay Hutt. Kamala Khan is unapologetically brown and I LOVE IT,” wrote Haroon Shahid.
Details About Ms. Marvel Coming To Pakistan
Ms. Marvel’s Academy-winning filmmaker, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy is one of the 4 directors directing the mini web series. She took to Instagram to confirm Ms. Marvel’s release in cinemas exclusively in Pakistan. She explained that Marvel Studios and Disney didn’t want Pakistanis to miss out on the first Pakistani superhero. Since Disney+ is not available in Pakistan as of yet, they have decided to release the web series in cinemas across the country! Sharmeen also revealed that they will be splitting the series into three parts to create a cinema format.
