With larger-than-life frames and the biggest names of our industry robed in for this film, ‘London Nahi Jaunga’ promises an out and out entertainer for all cinema goers this Eid!

Just as we await Eid ul Adha, Pakistani filmmakers have geared up to add to our excitement for the two big films coming out this Eid by releasing their trailers. After the trailer launch of ‘Quaid e Azam Zindabad‘, the film ‘London Nahi Jaunga’ had its trailer release in Karachi. Humayun Saeed who is one of the producers and actors in the film shared the film posters on his Instagram, a day prior to the release of the trailer. Have a look:
Humayun Saeed looked dashing in the first poster!
The trio has our heart!
The film is written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar of ‘Pyarey Afzal’, ‘Sadqay Tumhare’ and the classic hit of 2020 ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’ and is directed by the ace filmmaker Nadeem Baig. The star-studded cast of the film includes Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat, and Kubra Khan among the leads while we will also be seeing Saba Faisal, Shani Arshad, Waqas Danish, Iffat Omar, Eve-Yasmine and Gohar Rasheed in the supporting roles.
The Trailer
The trailer opens on a theatrical shot of a wedding scene with Humayun’s voiceover mirroring the character of Chaudary Jameel. Jameel is a hopeless romantic and firmly believes that marriage without love can’t survive. But then, he is a man of conflicting emotions who has to choose between his love and family. We can see that Humayun has mirrored the same stature and accent as his character Fawad Khagga in ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ which inevitably made us draw parallels between the two movies.
Kubra Khan who is betrothed to Humayun’s character in the film looks completely the part. Her character seems intense and one who won’t let go without a fight. We overhear her conversing with someone in the trailer, “mashook kisi aur ka hojai tu maar dalo usi. (if your lover has become someone else’s then kill him).” Catching Kubra in more of a desi/punjabi look is refreshing and a treat for her fans as it breaks the monotony of her mostly poised urban girl characters; case in point ‘Sinf e Aahan‘, ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay’, and ‘Sang e Mah‘.

As for Mehwish Hayat she absolutely rules the screen! We are crushing over her looks. Her character Sara resides in London and after she reads her mother’s diary, she decides to visit Pakistan to meet her maternal family whom she has never met only to find herself unwelcome and a misfit.

The film seems to have a lot to offer besides being a good entertainer on Eid. It seems to carry a strong plot with a murder mystery, romance , unfound love and larger than life frames – a treat for cinema goers! All characters seem to contribute to the plot and one thing we certainly are not expecting is a mindless, dull watch and mundanity!
At The Trailer Launch
The trailer launch of the film took place in Karachi where Mehwish Hayat, Humayun Saeed and, Gohar Rasheed were seen along with others. We saw the trio of Vasay Chaudhry, Humayun Saeed and Gohar Rasheed in dhotis!

As per Humayun Saeed, Gohar Rasheed was very nervous on the set and Gohar also admitted that he was rebuked repeatedly by Nadeem Baig!
“I had to unlearn everything in order to learn this character.”
Gohar Rasheed
The captain of the ship, Nadeem Baig had this to say about the film:
Nadeem Baig
“It’s not a sequel of Punjab Nahi Jaungi but the genre is the same. It has drama, romance, music, and most importantly a message which I feel should be in every family entertainer.”
Mehwish Hayat thinks that her character in the film is completely different from her character Amal in ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’.
“I really enjoyed working on the last movie (Punjab Nahi Jaungi) as well but this was also a lot of fun as we went out of Pakistan to shoot this movie as well. Every character I do adds a lot of responsibility to my shoulder and I hope I do justice to it.”
Mehwish Hayat
Humayun Saeed won everyone’s heart at the release as he said:
“Whoever is playing Thor some girls surely would like him, but Pakistani people like me and Fahad more and I can say this with 110% certainty.”
Humayun Saeed
