We desis take our mehndi dances too seriously, isn’t that right? So when we saw a seemingly foreign-looking group called The Quick Style dancing to 90’s Bollywood songs and Coke Studio’s masterpiece Kana Yaari at a desi wedding, we HAD to do some online sleuthing to find out who they were!

Wouldn’t you just love to shake a leg with them? Their dance clips went viral this past weekend, especially the one where they are dancing on Kana Yaari at a wedding in India. 10/10 for choreography, we gotta admit!

Here Is What We Found

We have handpicked 4 fun facts about the dance group. Let’s dive right in, shall we?

1. It’s A Dance Group Based In Norway!

The dance group, known as The Quick Style or the Quick Crew is a hip-hop/urban dance group based in Oslo, Norway, and was formed in 2006.

2. The Quick Style Was Formed By Pakistani Twin Brothers

The group was started by Suleman Malik and Bilal Malik Pakistani-Norwegian twin brothers along with their Thai-Norwegian childhood friend Nasir Sirikhan.

3. They Have Choreographed BTS!

Do we have the BTS army’s attention?

The Quick Style has collaborated with Keone Madrid and Son Sung Deuk (BTS’ choreographer) three times. They have worked on songs including Save Me, Blood Sweat & Tears, and Boy With Luv.

4. Winners Of Norway’s Got Talent 2009

Winning Norway’s Got Talent helped them secure a place in Sony Music, making them the first artists signed by the company that were not musicians.

5. Did A Dance Routine On Nach Punjaban & Hawa Hawa!

The Quick Style posts longer versions of their dance routines on their official YouTube channel which has over 400k subscribers. The group is seemingly well-versed with Bollywood and Pakistani songs & dances to them quite often!

So, while we were scrolling through their channel, we found dance videos on Abrar ul Haq’s Nach Punjaban & Hasan Jahangir’s Hawa Hawa & our Pakistani hearts swelled with joy! Watch them down below:

Along with having two dance studios, the crew also judges international dance competitions.

How fun is their choreography? We love the fact that they may not always understand the lyrics of a song but they dance to the beats and with their hearts! Which of their videos is your favorite? Tell us!
