Week Ending: 26th June 2021
The beginning of new relationships and the mending of old ones
As I write this week’s review of Shaurya and Anokhi ki Kahani, I cannot make up my mind from where to begin! There is so much to say and so much to express. I simply wish one could just read my mind for I am afraid if I will be able to convey all my emotions to you guys! SAAKK had so much, new relationships and saving the old ones!
Well, mind reading is still a dream and I would have to write to get my message across so lets drive straight into it! The first episode of this week begins with Anokhi still oblivious to the fact that she and Shaurya are getting married. But don’t worry this does not remain under the blanket for too long. Meanwhile, we viewers are granted with some adorable SHAAKHI moments. Ahh…there are too many to mention! Well, let’s talk about the way Shaurya ensures that Anokhi eats food at the wedding. No zor zabardasti, no drama; just Shaurya being Shaurya adopting reverse psychology on his zidi wife.
New favorite scene?
Another moment that had our hearts was Anokhi singing. And WOOWW! What a melodious voice Debattama have! We assure you that we replayed it more than a handful of times! Nonetheless, the highlight of this episode was Anokhi acknowledging her feelings for Shaurya. While, the scene was a bit too dramatic for me when Anokhi comes running to Shaurya, nonetheless, the sequence ahead has our hearts! Anokhi’s declaration of being Shaurya’s wife, Shaurya disclosing their secret to Anokhi were moments we adored. Both, Karanvir and Debattama’s expressions of being completely happy and at peace when with one another added to the viewers attachment to the characters as everything looked more realistic.
Of the many things we love about this show, one of them is that they ensure to add a touch of realism to all that fantasy. The way Anokhi was concerned about the financial burden on her parents at her wedding and the way Shaurya was convincing all his family to attend his wedding were a few things that might be relatable to some of the viewers watching.
Taking a stand
In addition, something that I am so glad wasn’t brushed under the rug was Bubbli di’s track. Firstly, the way Bubbli Di acted as a supportive and caring sister without allowing her troubles to overshadow her sister’s happiness made us fall in love with her character. And later, when she described her pain to her mother and what she has been through made us feel like crying with her. We are glad that at the end her father took a stand for her and gave the divorce papers to Vaneet. This by all means was a much needed conclusion and showed that if a father is behind his children no force in the world can hurt them in any way.
By all means, a father is his daughter’s hero. She looks up to him in time of distress and when she cannot find solace in him, a daughter feels abandoned and hopeless even when everyone is right behind her. SAAKK managed to portray this relationship well and that too at a perfect time; when Anokhi was about to start a new chapter in her life. The peace and confidence that radiated from Anokhi and Bubbli di’s faces when their father took a stand for them was priceless and we wish all daughters to have that comfort and blessing.
There is more!
Well, the review just doesn’t end here! Weren’t the pre-haldi moments between Shaurya and Anokhi the cutest? And how can we forget to mention how good they both were looking. Certainly there neharna each other did help to bring that glow! The haldi ceremonies on both ends gave us love goals and we cannot decide whether the bride or the groom’s side won. But, do we even have to decide? In the end both of them were together on their wedding day and we can say this on repeat that they looked gorgeous!
We loved the betab dulha and the merry dulhan whose excitement could be detected from a mile away! However, the happiness did not last long when we got to know that Anokhi’s paper was preponed. But alas Shaurya rocked while Sabherwals watched in shock!
Shaurya set an unparalleled example when he happily agreed to sent Anokhi to give his paper. Girls do find a man who prioritizes your career and your dream the way Shaurya does. He might just be a fictional character, but the message that is put across through him is what is needed in our society.
Example of healthy relationships
Furthermore, Shaurya giving Anokhi her pen was symbolic of her freedom to choose and how their future relationship will be based on respecting the choices of one another and having each others backs. Isn’t that what healthy relationships are all about?
