Pardes Drama is narrating the story of many Pakistani families. The narrative is fresh in the minds of many who are relating to the lone wife and children left alone syndrome while the sole breadwinner of the family spends a lifetime supporting and transforming the futures of the entire household.
But will Aymen & Ibaad end up repeating history? Are they doomed to endure a life separated by ‘Pardes’?

We cried for Zoobi when Ahsan left home for Pardes. Undoubtedly, Shaista Lodhi & Sarmad Khoosat did justice to a heartfelt narrative.
And now,
We are gifted an equally lovable couple in a time lapse that gives us grown up Aymen & Ibaad as Dur e Fishan & Affan Waheed.
But though we are glad the toxicity in the household has given way to hope in the form of Aymen, who doesn’t flinch at calling a spade a spade (unlike her mother), she too, falls prey to the bebussi narrative. i.e. convinced to marry someone hurriedly before her father passes away.
Is Pardes drama then, a touching story but one that also succumbs to the “bus larki ki shaadi kera do” tragedy to take events further.
Perhaps not, as Ahsan realizes he cannot leave Aymen’s future to the faint-hearted Zoobi (who is still concerned about log lya kahenge). Perhaps we can cut Ahsan some slack for coercing his daughter to marry overnight, and perhaps, because we’re absolutely crushing over Ibaad’s devotion to Aymen?
Which brings us to the question
Should Aymen have opted for Salman over Ibaad? Apnay over strangers? Fortunately, Pardes is giving us 2 heroes giving out positive vibes – Ibaad with his full on support for Aymen and Salman, who is taking a stand for Aymen’s out spokenness. Perhaps what goes against Salman is the one thing that made Aymen’s parents go for him – his family. Their daughter might prefer to start life without the baggage associated with negative childhood memories – all said and done, it seems that Aymen & Ibaad will embark upon a new life very soon …
We will definitely be sad to see the character of Ahsan leaving the drama.
“Unki maan ker apni munwa lo” Zoobi’s advice to Aymen, to marry so she can convince Ahsan for surgery. Shouldn’t Ahsan’s recovery be most important irrespective of any conditions?
We wish Zoobi took a stand for Ahsan’s operation & not sided with him to marry off Aymen to just anyone.
Ibaad jee, kiya yeh ishq ka bhoot hai which is making you do everything & anything for Aymen, shadee kay baad bhi last keray ga?
We have to say, we loved the way Ibaad convinced his mom to come along with him and propose to Aymen.
Also, the layers in Atiqa Odho’s (Ibaad’s mom’s) have to be appreciated. She is concerned for her son, carries a burden from the past, but is not necessarily a negative character who is all out to spread ill will. Judging from her past work, Pyar Ke Sadqay, we can say that this one’s going to hit us at many levels as we spot the many shades of grey in Ibaad’s mom!

Which brings us to the final question
Are Aiman & Zoobi both cursed?
Both have men who love them unconditionally & deeply but halaat & khaandan zalim samaaj bun gaye inkay dermian & they could not have their companionship despite having a loving partner by their side.
Or so relates the OST … Pardes drama is keeping us invested in a deeply emotional story line thanks to some impactful performances, crisp storytelling & stellar direction!
