Mujhe na judges bhi kehte k aap bari shayad overconfident hain ya yeh pata nahi apne aap ko barha samajhti hai, un ka woh perpective tha pehle.

Hira Khan

On the contrary, I was not at all like that. In fact, I use to get very scared while performing the tasks, but since I wanted to put up a show regardless of anyone’s perspective about me, I used to go with the flow. Hence, if they thought I was confident, I used to prove them right by displaying extreme confidence, narrated Hira.

You need to have a very thick skin for anything that you do in life, especially when you opt for a field like Media.

Hira Khan

“There was this point when I used to cry after reading my Instagram comments because people literally had the intrepidity to abuse, my parents at times. People used to insult me in the name of religion for the way I carried myself, and I used to feel down because I was naive. However, I consoled myself after learning that this is how it is, and I decided to build thick skin around me to avoid negativity and embrace the positivity from my fans.”

Aap ka vision jo hota hain na woh bohat broad hojata hai. Aap mein sun’ne k salahiyat ajati hai because jab aap 18-19 saal k hote ho na toh you just want to talk instead of listening.

Hira Khan

“When you go into such competitions, you witness many people around you who are doing good in life and you get to learn a lot from them. Moreover, you tend to internalize humbleness in your personality and view the world as an even more expansive place to explore.”

Her First Scene On Screen

Mera Phaans mein pehla scene yeh tha k mujhe call ati hai aur meri Amma ki death hojati hai, so I had to build a momentum of emotions before crying. It was difficult, but somehow it came out amazing.

Hira Khan

“I was a bit nervous that the cameras were on me, and this was the first time I was going to act on screen. So, I managed to display a set of emotions while taking in the news of my mother’s death, and the scene came out good. Thus, in the end, my director and team were really happy that I pulled off such a difficult scene in the first go.”

Hira On Nepotism In The Industry

Agar mai yeh kahon k yeh nahi hota toh yeh ghalat baat hai, yeh hota hai. Aap k favorites bhi hote hain and un ko kaam bhi milta hai and you have to be part of a certain group to move forward.

Hira Khan

“If I say that it doesn’t exist, then it wouldn’t be fair because it does. There are certain favorite people who are favored and cast more in the industry. So, at times I used to feel disheartened for not being chosen over someone whose craft isn’t as good as mine, but then I used to leave the matter in God’s hands. However, at the end of the day, your craft wins because I have seen & observed this personally.”
