Oh Basit what are you doing to our hearts? One minute you break it, and the other minute you give us hope with your smile. Can we forgive the way you are treating Ayesha? Scroll down to read FUCHSIA’s review of Habs.
Basit’s Behaviour Was Totally Uncalled For
Sadly Habs falls prey to the drama industry’s totally unnecessary negative portrayal of men. Why did the drama have to show Basit shouting at Ayesha? Why couldn’t he just show his displeasure respectfully and remain within limits? And that salary phrase? What was that for?
We understand Basit has issues but how long can we keep using this excuse to justify the toxic behaviour of men and show almost every male lead as toxic first, repentant later? Basit was honest, caring, and somewhat of a nice guy whom we could have hoped to change for the better, especially after his apology in the previous episode.
And dear Basit, that line to Ayesha’s mom “Jaisay aap ney pehlay kisi sey paisay nahin liyay” was totally uncalled for… if she took the money, you also gave it, with an aim to fulfill your purpose. You are a part of the crime as much as she is. Do you guys agree?
Not To Be Missed
A note of appreciation for the drama for going deeper and addressing how humans are shaped in their personalities and life decisions through the decisions mothers take. How a mother’s betrayal can completely break a child’s personality, like Basit. Secondly, how a mother’s priorities in life impact a child’s actions, like Zoya stealing money.
It is both frustrating and uplifting to see Bano. While we are happy she is taking the right steps to return the money, we wonder how she can be so naive as to not question Zoya or figure out that something must have transpired within the house, where almost everyone is hungry for money.
Ayesha, Come Up With Better Solutions!
Oh Ayesha why Don’t you speak up?
Despite having an interesting story line, the drama takes some very regressive dips, like Ayesha serving food to Basit and we felt like screaming why oh why! She is educated and brave, so why couldn’t she come up with a better idea?
Can we blame Basit alone? While he is being a total jerk, Ayesha is also not taking the right steps. Why couldn’t she sit down and have dinner with him? Why couldn’t she have a conversation with him… Alas, we wish our scripts could find better, more logical twists to take the story forward.
The Smile That Changed Everything
After really making us angry at Basit, the drama then gives us hope with that magical smile of Basit’s… and we all start dreaming for a love story till the next episode delivers another reality check through some ‘not so positive’ Basit scenes.
