Karachi winter is finally here and what’s better than the quintessential duo of coffee & donuts to get you all in your warm and cosy winter feels? The weather tempted us to try out the newly opened Cafe ‘Kremsi”, located at Badar Commercial, Phase V, Karachi.
You’ll be drawn towards the aesthetics of the place instantly. The statement teal green wall is the perfect spot for your Instagram pictures, and the minimalist design helps maintain the cozy vibe you seek in a coffee shop.
Moving on to the menu, they offer a generous selection of coffees including Frappes and a wide array of tempting donut flavours which made it slightly difficult for us to choose so we ended up trying 6 different types. The mini size options saved the day and a menu option that we really loved too, because, how cute are they!
Here’s everything we tried and our thoughts on each:
Donuts
Boston Creme
This one was a burst of light, subtle flavour, although it could definitely do with some more chocolate!
Nutella Donut
The donut carried a touch of Nutella, not an overdose. As Nutella fans, we would have loved a more generous Nutella filling!
Belgian Chocolate
Belgian chocolate did not disappoint. The chocolate hit just right on the palate, not too sweet – a well balanced flavour mix!
Raffaello
Perfect choice for non chocolate lovers. Coconut adds flavour with a subtle white chocolate filling and isn’t too heavy on the taste buds – perfect with a cappuccino!
Lotus
This one carried a subtle hint of Lotus. More filling would have taken it to a whole new level!
Peanut Butter
This one hit the right spot for us, but it carried a distinct taste of Peanut butter so try only if you are a Peanut Butter lover!
Drinks
The Almond Butter Frappe, Iced Popcorn Latte and Mocha Latte are on the menu to tempt your taste buds. Pair them with your fav donut option and celebrate a blend of indulgent flavours that add miles to your coffee experience!
Mocha Latte
We tried the Mocha Latte with our selection of mini donuts
Our Kremsi experience was one we could definitely revisit. Our top picks have to be the Raffaello and Peanut Butter Donuts and while you satisfy that sweet tooth, don’t forget to take cute pictures for the gram!
