Pakistani dramas surely have one thing: some notable performances which wow us each week! So which of the stars among Faysal Quraishi, Juvaria Abbasi gave heart touching performances this week? Let’s find out!
Let’s begin, shall we?
1. Sunita Marshall for KAM3
She has won our hearts & played the part of a dost/bhaabi to Mahi so realistically that it made us super happy. Keeping the right balance of stopping her from taking rash decisions, helping her & just being friends when Mahi needed her.
2. Iqra Aziz for KAM3
Every week Iqra proves again & again, what a versatile actor she is, delivering the deepest of emotions merely with her eyes & tone. It is thanks to her that we are so deeply connected with Mahi & feel her pain.
3. Usman Mukhtar in HKKST
What a great performance that not only developed Aswad’s character but also made place for him in our hearts. His portrayal of Aswad’s confusion about Mashal, his frustration & desire to help Mehreen, portraying the multiple emotions Aswad is going through.
4. Mahira Khan in HKKST
5. Dur-e-Fishan in Pardes
6. Juvaria Abbasi in AKT
Wow! What an amazing performance.
Juvaria Abbasi gave Safia’s pain a poetic & intense feel, making us connect with her, feel for her but not in a depressing way. Rather, in a manner that connected us to the reality of so many around us, and maybe our own reality as well…
7. Faysal Quraishi in Fitoor
It is a pleasure to watch him deliver an excellent performance week after week. He makes us feel for Haider, and aptly portrays his pain & frustration at every point as he becomes helpless, without actually saying so much in words.
8. Sarah Khan as Falak In Laapata
Sarah Khan is making us admire Falak’s strength, practical nature & sense of self respect. She surprises us when she suddenly transforms into this Falak who is teasing & flirting with Shams, who is irresistible, not just to Shams but to us as well. 2 thumbs up for this super engaging performance.
9. Gohar Rasheed as Daniyal in Laapata
We are loving how Gohar Rasheed is playing Daniyal’s character. You begin to warm up to him but then, all of a sudden, his tone, his words, his expressions, give you a feeling that something is not quite right. His ability to maintain this transitional feeling in viewers is praiseworthy.
10. Jenaan Hussain as Nageena in Neeli Zinda Hai
The shift between the real Nageena & Neeli pretending to be Nageena is very well played out. It shows the versatile range of talent that Jenaan can deliver in one character. We are enjoying watching her onscreen.
