Performances this week were mind blowing. Made us laugh, made us cry, while some made us deeply feel and left us pondering over life and its lessons. From Adeel Husain to Mahira Khan to Faysal Quraishi! Let’s see who made to our actors of the week list.

Ready?
1. Kiran Tabeir in Parizaad

Beautiful & heartwarming performance that made us all feel for Saeeda. We could feel her heartbreak when she finds out Majid is set to tie the knot with Naheed. Her shock and disbelief, and accepting her fate when she sees her husband for the first time had us teary eyed for sure. Again, when her sigh of relief and subtle joy when her husband tells her she can continue with her studies was everything! Kiran jee you made us feel so many emotions all at once!
2. Adeel Husain as Inspector Nasir in Aakhir kub tuk.

Adeel Husain wowed us with a not over the top performance added a charm to Inspector Nasir & made us smile. His reactions during the call scene bought a little light hearted affect which was must needed. Thank you for that. Also, it’s a treat to watch Adeel Husain back on screen!
3. Iqra Aziz as Mahi in Khuda Aur Mohabbat

Her portrayal of Mahi’s pain, inner struggle & regret is beautiful & impactful. She’s shown us different shades of Mahi, from the chulbuli, vocal Mahi to a much quieter one. How she takes care of Amma Saein, interacts with the children are all beautifully portrayed!
4. Shaista Lodhi as Zubi In Pardes

Zubi in Pardes is back with her strong & resilient self & we are glad to see that. We can’t wait for her to take a step and gather the courage, face her family and take a stand for her and her children. More power to you!
5. Ahmed Ali Akbar as Parizaad

What a performance! So subtle yet so impactful. The way he used his tone, his eye movements & body language to communicate Parizaad’s range of emotions is praiseworthy. The train station scene, emotional impact, the aftermath of Naheed’s bitter comments made us feel for him. Also, seeing him smile in college with Na Saaz was a treat to watch. Ahmed Ali Akbar flawlessly portrayed Parizaad and we can never imagine anyone else to carry this role!
6. Faysal Quraishi as Haider in Fitoor

From portrayal of extreme pain that makes Haider cry sometimes to his utmost desperation & frustration at not being able to do anything, he is ruling the drama.
7. Mahira Khan as Mehreen In HKST

First episode & we already have a clear picture of who Mehreen is. Mahira’s subtle use of body language, tone, hands & facial expressions made it an impactful performance. She’s back on screen after the mega hit Bin Roye and we surely missed her presence on screen! No wonder “welcome Mahira Khan was trending on Twitter”!
8. Kubra Khan as Mashal in HKST

To say a merely a few words yet still exude that cold feeling of arrogance is definitely not easy, but she did it so smoothly. The scene where she drives past Mehreen and smirks, and the attitude in college. Kubra’s surely speaking with her eyes!
9. Child star Tehreem in HKST

Such a strong & heart warming performance by Tehreem as the child version of Mehreen. We could feel for her during her scene with her father (portrayed by Omair Rana) where she tells him why she pushed Mashal off the stairs. Her eyes and silence spoke louder than words ever could!
10. Sarah Khan as Falak in Laapata

Sarah jee you are winning us in every episode so far with your refreshing portrayal of the strong & clear headed Falak. We loved when Falak gave her sister a reality check that if you’re educated, both, husband and wife should work together to keep the household running. Also her frustration during the badminton scene could be felt to great extents. Can’t wait to see her character grow more!
11. Rabia Butt as Nargis in PSM

Oh what a pleasure it was to see Nargis return, calling out to Faizullah & trying to save Rakshi. She gives a wake up call to everyone with her words, making them see the reality. She’s truly changing the game for female characters in dramas for sure!
